Cyber Security

Many WEB sites offer double authentication for security but in order to get that the site asks for a cell number or email address. How can you be sure the site asking you for this info is the legitimate site for the company you are trying to set up with?

I am no expert but it seems odd to me because tsc.exe is a process that belongs to the Trend Micro Damage Cleanup Engine. I wonder what that has to do with the problem. Also keep in mind that “fixes” are designed for ONE particular machine and problem and should not be used by other s without help. Perhaps the person that requested the help had Trend Micro as their AV. Be careful!

No, one of the earlier versions of Rogue.CyberSecurity used the file name "tsc.exe"  as CyberSecurity is shall we say a close cousin of "Rogue.TotalSecurity"
Some of the Cyber Security's around now don't use a file name of "tsc.exe"

Hi johnabbots,

Bleeping Computer is a  legitimate site and is generally recognized as a good source of malware removal information.  Process Explorer is a Microsoft program that is completely safe.  The Process Explorer link in the Bleeping Computer tutorial is the correct one to use.  I am not familiar with rkill.com so I will not venture an opinion on it.

Thank you Quads!

You can use Norton Safe Web and it will rate the site you are accessing. But trust your own instincts first and if anything seems odd do not do it.
