Can you open Internet explorer, tools>manage add ons>Disable or Enable> And then check if there are any add ons which does not make any sense by their name.It may be junk characters. If you find any , disable them..
If you do not find any of those add ons, try running a full system scan in safe mode.
Thank for our messages.
I do have the latest upgrades from Norton.
I started the computer in safe mode, but was not able to do a norton scan in this mode, because 360 does not allow it. So, I unpluged my internet connection and restarted the computer. Then, I launched a fully scan. 360 did not find any spyware. But I still have the problem.
Any ideas?
Best
Frederic
N360 does not function in Safe Mode.
Try Malwarebytes' and SuperAntiSpyware. Update all definitions and run full scans with both. These should solve the problem. If not, let us know.
Hi.
Sonds like da-tracking is very smart. Indeed, I updates norton 360, run a scan, installed superantivirus, turn on the pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer. I also switched to Firefox. So far, Da-tracking has won the competition and vainquish all the software.
Well, is there another solution beside the harmer?
Best.
Hi,
I have the unfortunate privilege to have a spyware undetected by norton 360. This spyware- or what looks like a spyware - is da-tracking,com.
Even though I have turned-on Norton 360, Window defender, and internet explorer pop-up blocker, this "da-tracking.com" passes by all firewall and allowed a lot of pop-ups window.
I tried to use another browser (Firefox) in vain. I also try to block this program by going to the command prompt DOS (notepad C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts) without result.
Does anyone have a solution to remove this program?
Best
Frederic
Did you also run Malwarebytes’ as advised? Thanks
Good Evening Frederic,
Manually run Norton Live Update to be sure you have the latest definitions.
Physically unplug from the internet and then restart your computer in SAFE MODE.
Run a full Norton Scan in safe mode and see if anything is detected.
Please let us know how you made out.
