Dark net monitoring

Hi,

I realise that this may be something of a "how long is a piece of rope" question, but I am seeking views regarding the security of information on the Norton Dark Web Monitoring service. Is it really safe to lodge bank card details with the facility?

Grateful for perceptions/views/experience. Many thanks.

Thanks

It seems that we are d'accord, in agreement, in regard to this.

Grateful for your time and comments. Most useful in framing, justifying or reinforcing my own perceptions.

Appreciated.

H.O.W:

I somehow want to have Norton monitor for my card details but, akin to your perspective (...."Just me"....), not sure that I can bring myself to enter the information; which sounds rather crazy when a company such as Norton is telling me that it is safe?!?!

My payment cards notify me every transaction/event.  My payment cards include fraud protection.  My payment card issuers have fraud departments.  They monitor their cards.  I know because they've on occasion contacted me for unusual activity.

Were my payment cards found on the dark web and reported by Norton Dark Web Monitoring.
Nothing, I can do nor Norton can do about what's published on the dark web.

I'd rather monitor my financial transactions in real-time...vs...wait for Norton to find/report what's published on the dark web.  Just me.

Hi,

Many thanks for your answers to both the questions I have posed today. Greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for your time and expertise.

fwiw ~ I do not include personally identifiable information my Norton account.  Just me.
Note: when I opt "Request My Data"... along with my Norton product history.
I found mailing addresses...which I imagine populated with recurring subscription service payment details.
Long time removed payment details & disabled automatic renewal.
I found faux mailing address listed with Dark Web Monitoring.
