Why do these files keep appearing in my Mac trash can? Just got my new iMac yesterday and this started happening almost immediately. Every hour or less even after emptying the trash can, new database.sqlite3 files appear in the trash can. Please help!
hope so at this point.. you as well...
Ken maybe it is a coincidence.
Best of luck ken.
Superarchiehome, what i was stating was that the issue of the file creation even yesterday, has stopped today all of the sudden... i haven't had the file created in the trash once at all today... multiple reboots... systems been running all day and not one file created... so the problem has stopped and i haven't had to update anything at all...
i didn't have to wipe anything or uninstall anything... it's just not creating itself right now every 30 minutes or so like it was... lets keep the fingers crossed...
You should wipe everything off the computer and install High Sierra first.
Didn't work by just upgrading.
You need to get rid of nortons completely before putting it back on.
It took a bit of time to do this.
I hope this solves the problems.
Done this on two computers so far and its gone.
Superarchiehome, it may be just coincidence and timing of your putting High Sierra on and installing norton... I only say that because, I haven't made any changes to my system that was having this issue for months, and so far today i haven't had the file created once on the very same machine.. Again, i haven't made any changes to it nor have i uninstalled / reinstalled Norton itself... so knock on wood and hoping that it stays this way...
Looks like it is fixed now.
Put High Sierra on and install nortons.
When you install nortons you have got to allow it in security and privacy now.
I think it was blocking something there before.
I redid the whole computer and now the trash bin is empty.
It been talked about here with no fix from Norton yet:
