I have an NIS 2010 3 user package. One of the computers was destroyed thanks to a lightning strike near the house. Is there a way to de-activate that so I can use the license on the replacement computer?
From searching I can see that I could normally just uninstall the software to de-authorize a liicense, but that's not an option in this case. The motherboard is fried. So is there any way via Norton or the website to deactivate that license so I can use it?
(I have no idea what the condition of the hard drive is, but it's not worth the time to try to reinstall the hard drive in another computer to do just this - I don't have any computers that are similar enough in terms of hardware to make that an opttion.)
