Default new networks as restricted

Actually the Firewall Reset does much more than that. I am just looking to reset the General Rules.

Thanks anyway.

I can see what you mean by does more, in this explanation

The Firewall Reset option resets firewall settings such as firewall rules and trust control settings. For example, if you reset the firewall, any custom rules or settings that you have configured are removed. All computer networks are removed from the trusted list and the restricted list in Trust Control. Therefore, Norton Internet Security prompts you with a confirmation dialog box when you reset firewall.

Unfortunatel, no matter how you reset your general rules, whatever you were doing to change those rules will be changed also.  You can’t set a rule allowing parts of your network to do certain things in a certain way, and then set the rules back to default, without expecting things to change.  Can’t happen.

Hi delphinium -

Perhaps the creation of a "Firewall Profile" would be a better name than "Default All."

That is, a user would configure the Firewall and be able to save the configuration. If a change is then made and the user would like to revert back to his/her original profile, it would be easier to do. The information would be retained in a file and restored.

That could work as long as none of the equipment or programs changed.  Tricky business though.
