xphomesp3,ie7, nis2009 16.7.2.11 ran live update, showed last update 4 hrs ago. update ran fine. checked again 30 minutes later, still says last update 4 hrs ago. live update ran fine. checked recent history, says ncwatch is processing since 9:57am. checked task mgr.-process, ccsvhst.exe only value that is changing. i also checked intrustion prevention in norton, hasn"t had an entry since 1/29. this seems odd. i had this problem last week with the definitions stuck on 4 hrs ago so i rebooted thinking this would clear it. i get a notice from one click support saying i needed to reinstall norton i guess because my system tray icon never appeared. ran nrt, reinstalled and everything was fine until now. i haven't rebooted this time, trying to avoid reinstall. i know this has to be caused by ncw stuck in the processing mode. i love norton but it is not for the faint of heart. thanks
