When opening the app for our new Dekco security cameras, I get a message, "Unsafe Site". Why is this happening?
You're most welcome, please post back your results so we may follow up if needed.

SA, I've been away and was not able to answer your last note on my problems with the Dekco App. I should have thought about the fact that the account created was under my husband's email. Thanks for that thought. I will try using his email.
Also, the information shown in the email as undeliverable was from the "System Administrator". The original email was sent correctly as support@Dekcolife.com.
I do appreciate your help.
Thanks for the post back. The Server error: '501 5.5.2 RCPT TO syntax error' usually suggests that the recipients e-mail client/server is not able to validate your e-mail address as a sender. Have you created an account and have it registered as validated with Dekco?
Edited: looking again at the e-mail address you posted there is an error in it: support @dekcolife.com, should read as support@dekcolife.com omitting the space between support and the @ character. Just an observation my side.

Thank you, SA. Believe it may be a false flag as you noted in your reply. Also, had emailed the company at the address it showed on their website.
I got a return message from the "System Administrator", Undeliverable Dekco App on iPhone:

As the creator of the app list geo-location in Hong Kong, that area is now a physical part of Communist China. I would consult with the app's tech support for a answer to what this connection is for. Here is my Whois lookup for that link:
https://www.ip-tracker.org/lookup/whois.php?query=da-us.safenests.com
Conversely this is the IP lookup for that URL: https://www.ip-tracker.org/lookup.php?ip=da-us.safenests.com
*The location is Ashburn Virginia. My boilerplate is the link SHOULD be safe, if it were nefarious it would be masked in some manner to hide its presence. The link results also show the links are encrypted secure connections on HTTPS port 443. Norton is most likely throwing a false flag based on its database.

Now have deleted the app, turned phone off, restarted phone, reinstalled app. I have same results without the duplicate app showing. Upon the opening of the app, received the same Norton warning. Tapped the Norton warning to a new page that has a heading, "Internet Security". Under that is a red block that reads: "Unsafe, da-us.safenests.com443" Below that is a message: "We recommend you do not use this site", and at bottom of page: "Allow access to site" in heavy blue type.
Also, to your question, the cameras are new to us and have never had Dekco cameras previously. Upon installation of the cameras it specifically noted not to use the old "cloudedge" app which applied to older cameras, only the Dekco app.
Just rechecked and the App Store shows 2 apps now called Dekco. They look exactly the same and both say "OPEN".
What you may be seeing hear is the way the Apple App store shows results for an app search. I often see two instances of the same app at the top of the listings. But if you look closely, there is a little "AD" beside the top instance. Tapping on "Get" beside either will install the same app. And if you search again while you have the app installed, you may see "Open" beside both listings.
Thanks for the post back. I would remove both apps and restart the phone. That should clean things up nicely for you to reinstall. I'm sure you have the link nevertheless here is the one I have my side. Reinstall and restart the device before attempting to do anything with it.

Did you previously have a Dekco device and have upgraded with an additional device or is this the first one you are setting up? I ask due to some users on the net are saying Dekco has two apps, one for older cameras with this new app for newer devices. The latter app, is now "in house" meaning its created solely by Dekco. I'm not sure who partnered with them for the previous app. If this is the first instance of Dekco devices, install the newer app, lets see how that goes with things, move forward from that point.

Thanks for responding, SA. The app is from the App Store on my iPhone and has no URL. Just rechecked and the App Store shows 2 apps now called Dekco. They look exactly the same and both say "OPEN". Not sure what is going on, but not happy as the app is for a security camera.
Hello Carolyn. Did you get the app from the Apple Store or? In the app, please look at the URL ( website link ) that is being flagged. Does the link begin with HTTP or HTTPS ? If it shows HTTP that is the reason for you seeing that notice. IF you are certain that is the website you should be opening click continue to site.
