I Started the following thread because I experienced a delay of at least 5-10 seconds in opening IE8. http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=nis_feedback&thread.id=52340&view=by_date_ascending&page=4 It seemed a NIS 2009 issue but after 2 weeks and after the monthly upgrade from MS the problem vanished. Opening IE8 today goes without any delay. But………the challenge moved from IE8 to my picture map. Could NIS 2009 checking the content cause this delay? Just a question because when I open my picture map I get a delay of max. 10 seconds. The content is approx 25 GB. When moving the pictures from the map my pictures to another (new) map the problems moves with it. It is apparently content/size related. I checked all sub maps, run malware programs, cleaned the computer, disabled some Adobe programs but nothing solved this problem. Opening the picture map a second time will happen faster but still there will be a delay (3-5 seconds)I never had that problem before and it started after installing IE8 or one of the upgrades I got from MS. Strange is that I don’t have any delay in opening video maps with a much higher content/size. I don’t know if this delay is NIS 2009 related but it seems a security issue to me. I run XP/S3 on a Duo Pentium 2.8. Has any of you the same problem and perhaps an answer?
