Deleting back up folder

Hi,

Been using Norton 360 for a few years and have noticed that the back up folder is getting quite big and to large for its current location. I have started to back up on another external drive and now want to clear the space used by the old back up folder.

I deleted the back up files in Norton, but this only got rid of about 20 gig of files (the actual folder was over 100gb), is it safe to just to delete the folder(s) in windows or will this affect the driver/machine im using?

Thank you,

Ben

Welcome Ben,

As long as 360 is not aware of the old site you can delete it. If it's still aware you will get a correctable error message the next time you go to play in the backup area.

Hi Dick,

This sounds like what I have started to do. I have created a new back up profile and delted the old profile (with new location created. So now I can just delete all the old files?
