Deleting tracking cookies but they are still there after next scan

I have NIS 2009. After scan there is "Attention required" and 52 tracking cookies found on the computer.

I ask norton to delete them and NIS 2009 say deleting sucessfully. 1 minute later I scan again and exactly

52 tracking cookies are found again with the same name. I have tried to manualy deleted all cookies under

user\cookies but same problem. Any ideas?

I have actually seen this with Norton 360 v2 but not in NIS. Can I suggest trying the following first. Delete tempory internet files, empty recycle bin, close browser. Run scan twice and see if problem is resolved.

If not resolved, repeat above, then in NIS goto computer settings, and change Tracking cookies scan to remove. re run scan and advise if problem is resolved in this way.

I had the problem in NIS2008 and downloaded NIS 2009 stil same problem. I have deleted all temp files, temporary internet files and recycle bin. I have search for the cookie name ex. eier@live.com with option with hided files.

If the cookie file is still in the computer it should have been found even if it was in the recycle bin in temp folder....

Sorry, I do not know what your results are. Your original post said the problem was with NIS 2009, so the earlier version is not relevant here. You say you have search for the cookie name but not if you found it. In any event it was not my suggestion to search for a specific cookie.

If the cookie file is found then it is found, but that does not resolve your issue.

Did you change the option I selected and what was the result of the rescan?
