Here's my Desktop cap. I was able to trim my icons down to 3 vertical rows after some housecleaning 
. I moved some to a folder on the Desktop "Temp Desktop" to eliminate 2-3 icon rows on the Desktop.
I'm using a Slideshow (random / changes the pic once every hour) that runs from a 2nd "video/pic" internal SATA HDD. It runs from my "APOD" folder (pics captured from NASA's "Astronomy Picture of the Day" archive site. They update daily with new pics)
