I want to change the name that displays in the Norton portal. I know how to do that. The only problem is that we have several iPhone and they all show as iPhone. I need to know which is which. The online help says to change the name in About in the iPhones Norton app. Don’t see a way to do this.
I don’t think you understand. Yes I can do what you say. Your Apple phone name is not the name that displays on the Norton 360 website. Right now it lists all of our phones as iPhone even though they all have different and unique names under apple’s settings general about.
I too see what you are seeing for my iPhone in my Norton Account. Although the My Subscription page is always correct for the activations on the subscription, it too only shows my iPhone as iOS_iPhone. On my Devices page I was able to Edit the device name, but if you have multiple iPhones, the trick is to try to identify which phone is which. You might be able to identify the phones from the My Subscription page by clicking on the Manage Devices link. You can see the date the device was registered.
Good suggestion! I can see you understand my situation. Unfortunately both iPhones were added on the same day. The support FAQs told me the following:
If you have a mobile device, you can identify it by the name displayed in the Norton portal. You can also bring your devices online one at a time to see which device shows as “Online” in the Norton portal. Any device connected to the Internet will show “Online” next to its name.
Verifying Device Name in Norton Product
To confirm the device name, you can change it in the Norton portal and then check the “About” window in the Norton product on your phone. In the “My Devices” page on our website, click “Edit Name” next to the device you want to rename, type the new name, and click “Save”. Then, on your phone, open the Norton product, tap “Help,” and under “General Information,” tap “About” to see if the new name is displayed.
This line is the problem: “Then, on your phone, open the Norton product, tap “Help,” and under “General Information,” tap “About” to see if the new name is displayed.”
On the iPhone Norton 360 I simply cannot find: Help > General Information > About. Ugh!
Thank you. I do understand how to do that however it does not change the name that displays in Norton devices. Sounds like I just have to resign myself to the fact that I will never know for sure which iPhone is which.

Well you could try this suggestion. Although it too can take some time to allow the device to show up as Online, as it is not instantaneous.
Unfortunately, the Devices page has been notorious for being incorrect/outdated.
