Hello, today I was downloading a program from CNET (I forgot the name of it) and the very moment I opened the file (It was a compressed file) Norton popped up saying "You have turned off Norton Firewall" followed by "You have turned of Norton SONAR" and so forth. Right away I oppened up Norton to re-enable them but Norton said "Subscription Required, Please Activate Norton" so right away I turned off my Wi-Fi and did a system restore to a day ago. The file is now no longer in my download folder but I right away did a full system scan and downloaded and ran Norton Power eraser. The thing I am worried about now is when I clicked activate Norton (after the restore from one day earlier) it said I had 282 days of service left, and this morning I thought (Thought...) I had 180 days left. So anyways the quick scan finished no problems, and the Power eraser found nothing. Norton is now re-enabled (I am hoping?) and my computer seems fine. I am still running the full scan.
My main concern is, if nothing is found in power eraser (nothing was) and in the full scan (when complete) should I not worry about the possible change in my activation length?
I am using Norton Internet Security 2011 on a Windows 7 64x Laptop.
Thank you for any help. :)
