Did I really visit this forum this morning?

When I logged in just now with a query I arrived at my "profile" and saw the statement that I had last visited this forum this morning at 8.29am. Curious............... I haven't been on here that I can remember for at least a year and I'm not even sure that I had even turned my laptop on by 8.29 this morning.

Last Thursday I had an email from my friend's adult son with no message, only a link to a site, WhatsApp Web. When I clicked on it Norton popped up, saying "don't go there unless you trust it".  Trust friend's son so went anyway but it just looked like spam so I left but googled it and came up with scary stuff like threat of banking Trojans and that it is a FAKE WhatsApp site.  I ran a full Norton scan and also downloaded another anti-virus from Microsoft and ran that ........took hours but both came up clean.  I rang my bank anyway and suspended my online banking until they post me a new login password etc. Overkill perhaps but better safe and all that.  Oh, yes, friends son has no idea how the email was sent from what was definitely his address.

Don't know if there is a connection but last week I updated IE7 to IE11.  Today a message came up on my screen from Windows Seven Forum (which I have never heard of and certainly didn't surf to it) telling me to remove IE11 as it is not good with Windows7 and go back to IE7.  It presented me with a page to register with the Forum to get instructions how to do it.  I started to register but became uncomfortable with the level of information they were asking for so  I backed off.

I would really appreciate any comments/advice.  I am afraid that I am one of those old(mid seventies) women who should never be allowed anywhere a computer, so vast is the level if my ignorance.
