For the last couple of weeks, I have had difficulty downloading new mail from the mail server (comcast.net) to Thunderbird. Operating system = Windows XP Professional. When I try to fetch mail, it will tell me (bottom left of screen) "downloading 1 of 10 messages" and then I wait, and I wait, and I wait. Finally, it only downloads 1, or 2, or 3 of the waiting msgs. Then I have to hit "get mail" to start over again, at which time it'll download some or all (varies) of the remaining msgs. I suspect this is a Norton problem because (1) this happened several years ago and it was a Norton problem; and (2) when I look in Task Mgr, the process that is running is n360.exe. On the same Wi-Fi connection, I have no delays or problems downloading mail to my Android tablet, or to Thunderbird mail on a laptop that runs McAfee. Any ideas?
