Disabling outgoing email scan causes security status alert

I just got a new computer with NIS already installed.  I believe it is the 2008 version (version number says 15.0.0.60 in the about box).  Whenever I disable outgoing email scanning, it creates a security alert indicating that I have a problem.  The only way to make the alert go away is to re-enable outgoing email scans.  I never had this problem with earlier versions of NIS.

Has anyone else had this problem?  How do you make the alert stop popping up?  It is quite annoying.

That worked.  Older versions of NIS allowed you to disable outgoing scanning from the main menu.  It now appears to be a two step process in that you have to ignore the status of outgoing email scanning on the main menu and then go into the NIS settings to disable outgoing email scanning.
