Disabling popups

Is there a way to kill the incessant popups?  I keep randomly getting popups notifying me about services out there that have had data breaches, trying to get me to buy some sort of coverage.  I'm not interested and I'm sick of popups.  I also get popups from Norton saying something like "I've optimized your system".  Great, wonderful, cool, go ahead and do that, just don't keep telling me about it.  What are you, some six year old craving papa's approval?  lol

I've already went to settings, admin and turned off special offer notifications awhile back.  I also disabled report card.  In fact, the only thing enabled in settings is idle time optimizer, product tamper protection and Firefox temp file cleanup.  I know I can probably kill the "I optimized you" popup by turning off idle time optimizer, but I don't mind it doing the optimization.  I just don't want the popup.

I have no idea where the data breach popups could be coming from.

I don't currently have Norton 360 installed but it has been noted in the forums recently.

The developers are aware of the issue.  Someone may be in contact if they need further details.

Thanks.

Thanks, that did the trick for me.  Though now instead of sales ads, the Norton interface just opens on its own.  Do you see that behavior too?  I'd assume not as you didn't mention it, I may need to nuke/pave my Norton installation and start fresh.  Maybe something is just bugged there.

See if this post helps.
