Disc Optimization concerns with both SSD and HD on a computer

Rinning Norton 360 5.2.0.13

. My main Operating system drive is a SSD and my secondarty drive is a hard drive.

I understand that a SSD should never be defragmented.

I set disc optimization to off on the settings, because I was worried Norton might automatically defrag my SSD.

But every month I see that Norton 360 displays the message "Your disc drives have been optimized to improve performace" The details: Drive E: is not in need of defragmentation...

Drive E is the hard drive. Drive C: D; reside on the SSD.

Does Norton 360 know to not defragment a SSD automatically?

Can I turn on disc optimization without worry?

Since I have turned it off why does it appear to be running on drive E anyway?

Thanks

Thanks I will do this.

A follow-on (which is really even worse).

My boot drive is a Raid0 of two SSD drives using the Intel controller (so Windows needed the driver prior to instal - brand new motherboard).

I have two MORE SSD drives forming a stripe set.

AND two physical hard disks.

I've got the very latest Norton 360.  Is it smart enough to leave the fakeraid AND the SSDs forming the stripe set alone?

It should, but if you are uncertain, set the Windows Defragmenter service to disabled, disable the idle time optimizer, and just run a manual defrag once a week or so.
