Disgusted with excessive up-selling - even trying to get you to pay again for products already purchased

Dear Norton:  I am disgusted with your practice of excessive up-selling - even trying to get me to pay again for products already purchased.

Example:  I run "smart scan" and it shows me there's some stuff that Norton Utilities could clean up -- and it offers me a chance to buy Norton Utilities **again**  --- I already purchased that product and have a licenced copy of it on this computer.  Why doesn't smart-scan just ask me if I want to run the program I already own - instead of trying to sell me another one.

I am disgusted. I might not renew my licenses for any norton products -- might switch to one of your competitors

Note:  this does not seem to be a technical issue - it seems to be a policy issue.  I don't need a technical solution - I need a policy solution resulting in a change in practice

100% agree, have turned off auto renewal, which I never used anyway as its 4 times cheaper to simply buy a new licence on Amazon anyway, but this year, the "new" Norton is spamming almost every day to purchase x, y or z.  Time to check out the competition when this ends methinks, and this is after using Norton for many years

I solved the Norton Popup issue on my laptop.

I installed Linux.devil

Any one know which one of the competitors does not do this.

What about McAfee?
