The product page for Norton Utilities doesn't say much about the capabilties of Disk Cleaner (DC) so I'll pose my questions here.  I use Windows XP.

1. Up to how many passes can DC overwrite data?

2. Does DC use that fancy named DoD spec for overwrites?

3. Does DC securely overwrite free space?

4. Does DC securely overwrite filenames in the directory?

5. Does DC or Utilities remove partitions?

6. Is the Utilities CD bootable so I can install just the one drive and wipe the whole thing?  If not bootable then will Symantac mail me one that is or how do I make one?
