Display Progress indicator doesn't always work

 Sending an email (outgoing) the progress dialog displays more regulary.
Receiving emails (incoming)  the progress dialog hardly ever displays.

Hi All

 

NIS 2009,   In the Internet Settings, Email Scanning, The option to "Display Progress indicator" is ticked.

 

Yet mainly with incoming emails the Dialog box that pops up in the lower right hand corner with the progress of emails doesn't always "pop-up" or appear when it should.   Outgoing mail has more success, or seems to.
