DNS errors after NIS install

Since I installed NIS 2012 on my new Win7 laptop last week I have very frequent web page loading errors when trying to browse to new sites (using IE9) on our network at work. These errors are due to DNS lookup failures, and did not occur prior to the NIS installation.

In order to navigate to new web sites I have to manually disconnect my wireless connection and then re-connect it. For example, in order to navigate to the Norton homepage to this user forum I had to disconnect and re-connect several times. It seems like I get only one or two successful DNS look-ups after each such re-connection.

Our wireless router does show up in the NIS network panel and shows at a Shared trust level. I have tried forcing my wireless connection to use the secure Norton DNS servers rather than the ones provided by our Internet provider, but that hasn't helped.

Note that this same problem did not occur on my old Windows Vista laptop when connected to the same wireless router and running NIS 2012. So I'm not sure what is going on. Perhaps something went wrong during the NIS install that has messed up DNS service?

This is really making it difficult to use the Internet so any help to solve the problem will be much appreciated.
