DNS errors after Norton Install

After installing Norton Internet Security 2012 I receive nearly constant DNS type paqe load errors when internet browsing.  I receive the page load errors in multiple browsers (IE, firefox, chrome) and the only thing that fixes the problem is either disconnecting/reconnecting from my wireless connection or restarting the computer.  This is the only computer encountering these problems and also the only computer on which I've installed IS2012.   Has anyone else encountered this problem?  Anyone know of a possible solution?

Thank you!

Alan

Welcome Alan,

Have you looked at the network security map and confirmed that all of your devices are listed and that the minimum trust level is 'shared'? Do you have Norton DNS installed? if so where? [computer or router]

Thanks

One thing you can try is to flush your DNS cache.

You can find some details and instructions here.

If this doesn't fix your problem, let us know.

An update:

I updated my wireless driver and also manually configured DNS to go through google dns and I haven't had any further page load errors.  Not sure which actually 'solved' the problem, or if it is a combination of the two, but so far, so good.  Thanks for the responses and I will let you know if problems persist from this point.

Hi,

Glad you have found a way to continue. Am I reading correctly that you are not using the Norton DNS servers at this time? If so it would be helpful if you woulld take the time to change your router settings to once again use the Norton DNS servers so that we can try to determine the root cause of the problem. If you can use the NOrton servers without errors then it was the router driver update that fixed it. If you can't then we still have a problem which needs a solution.

Thanks
