So as long as my NIS2009 is updating and Windows is too and everything appears to be up to date and no problems the patches featured on the top of the forums board (NAV/NIS 2009.5 Patch Update and fixes) are just for people who have just installed NIS2009 and rather than do update after update can install a job lot in one go? and the fixes are for specific issues that are not needed unless I have issues?
If thats the case ok then, I dont appear to be having any problems as for the right click issues I often see in the boards the nearest I have to something like that is if I right click on the start menu I often get minor glitches that arent really a problem for me,usually gliding my mouse over them fixes it straight away and everything appears to work normally.
I have never installed any of the patches or fixes featured because I assumed auto update see's to this anyway.

Hi, imprimis,
Microsoft Release Patches every second Tuesday of each Month called "Patch Tuesday". If you have Automatic Update On, these Patches may not be Downloaded un-til Wednesday or Thursday of the same week, but should be Downloaded upon start-up, provided you Connect to the Internet. If you have left it at De-fault, by which I mean the time your system Checks for Updates, then it will be at 0300; I would suggest Changing it to a Time when your Computer will be On. If the Updates are Downloaded when your computer is on via Automatic Update, then these Updates will be Installed just before your Computer is Turn Off.
Everyone gets the Norton 2009 Fixes, whether you have Issues or Not. You do not have to worry about these as these will be Downloaded and Installed via Automatic Norton LiveUpdate, if you have it On. These Updates do Require a Re-Start to Complete Installation.
I would suggest Turning Off System Restore, Updating both Norton and Malwarebytes' and doing a Full Scan with each Product; you should always Dis-Connect from the Internet before Running any Anti-Virus Scan(s). Once the Scans are Completed, feel free to Turn On System Restore again.
Let us know how you get on, or if you have any more questions or concerns.
My PC is on 24/7 anyway so no update would really have a chance to be skipped.
Thanks for the advice and I will do the extra scans a little later, everything seems to be as normal, I am now formatting the F:\ drive as I have moved all the files back to the freshly formatted E:\ and removed it so I dont format it accidentally (again).
The only thing that has me a bit peeved is the fact that my Maxtor 500GB seems to only have a 372.61GB storage, I deleted the partition and there isnt any other partitions on it, this looks more like a 400GB but I am fairly certain when I bought it I bought a 500GB.
I know they are never what they claim to be but this is quite a bad loss of storage, my 1TB (E:\) shows the usual 7% difference so thats fine as is my 80gb internal (C:\) drive.
I am sorely tempted to invest in another 1TB to replace my so called 500GB and another external I have (350GB) so then I just have my 80GB and 2 x 1TB Externals.
Anyway I have wondered off topic.
So is it normal for a 500gb to only show as 372.61GB because by my math it should be around 460GB?
Seagate drives have had this issue before. For a while, the 250’s were reading as much smaller. I can’t recall if it was a Windows problem or a Seagate one. They will have support info available on the Seagate sight. Do watch for heat issues. The bigger the drive, the hotter they run. When Seagate says a drive is only rated for 60 degrees celcius, they are not kidding.
