About a month ago I started having the SONAR problem so many had. At the time I thought I needed to reinstall Norton to make it better. Instead of uninstalling first I put the disc in and went all the way to the warning that I would be replacing a newer version with an older version. I hit "exit" and took the disc out. Since that time I get a warning box every time I turn on the computer that there is a problem and I need to reinsert the disc and take care of it. Reinserting does nothing as I do not intend to follow through with an installation. (Evidently the SONAR problem has been taken care of by updating, asit no longer drops out.)
Today It took forever for my computer to become usable after startup. I think there are multiple partial copies of AntiVirus clogging up my computer. How do I check and how do I get rid of the warning message? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall? Will my remaining days stay the same on my subscription?
