Do I need to worry that my Norton doesn't know the correct date or time?

Using Norton Antivirus 2009 - 16.2.0.7

I see the usual box advising that idle quick scan had been completed.  Instead of closing the box I clicked "details", and the posted date and time is 3/4/09, 9:18:05.   Hmmmm.   My computer time and date is correct (2/15/09).

Bottom line.... does it make any difference?   If so, will deal with Symantec support to correct it... otherwise will happily ignore it.

Thanks!

Hmmmm.  The glitch occurred after 5:45 am this morning when an "idle full scan" posted with the correct date.... there have been five subsequent history postings dated 3/4/09 with incorrect times.  Have made no changes in the date settings on my computer, or installed anything.  Seems the protection is still functioning.  Doesn't look like it should be a critical issue, aside from my subscriptoin ending early.  Will send a question to support, and find out how to make the correction.  Very much appreciate your reply.

Hello melsch,

You can also open the main Norton interface, go to Help & Support > Once Click Support.

This will run an autmated tool that will scan your Norton product for any issues.

Let us know.

I’ve seen at least one case here where an incorrect system date/time was causing updates to fail so I’d try to resolve it.
