I chatted with your technical support last night. I had one simple question. Can I remove ask.com from your browser extension. The answer was let me go into your computer and I will change the settings for you. I said walk me through it, no one changes my settings but me. When they began to walk me through it, I realized these people have no clue of what they were doing. After an hour of them constantly wanting to get into my computer, they wanted me to uninstall and reinstall Chrome which even I know would do nothing to change a browser extension. I finally got on Norton Facebook Page and was able to get my answer from those people telling me that the only way to remove ask.com from my default search engine was to disable Norton, but I would still get the same protection. So I asked why have a browser extension if that is the case. And why do you hijack our search engine??? Ask.com is a terrible search engine!!!! You should inform us that you are hijacking the search engine when we install your browser extension. Are you not the people who are suppose to protect us from hijackers etc, but yet you hijack our search engine in your browser extension. So basically the browser extension is just to force us into the terrible Ask.com search engine, since as your facebook people tell us. "If you use the browser extension or disable it you get the same protection".
