Do not want to defragg my SSD

Please tell me how to stop Norton 360 from tuning-up my SSD

Hi,

Open the main N360 GUI and under Settings turn off the Idle Optimizer.

Hit Apply, then OK, & reboot ,(optional), your pc.

It should be ok now.

Post back if that solves your issue.

Hi again,

Also, if you do not want your SSD to be defragmented at all, which is good, you can also set the Windows Defragmentation Scheduler not to defragment the SSD drive on a schedule.

Regards,

Hi, terryl. I agree with Apostolos, re disabling the Windows SSD schedule.

Some experts advise against defragging SSDs anyway, saying it's unnecessary..

Thank you Apostolos, Your solution appears to have worked.

Hi,

I have just installed a SSD for C: boot volume (OS Windows 7 Home).

I have turned off the Idle Time Optimiser to prevent defraging.

I have four HHD's for apps and data. Is there a setting that allows Norton to defrag these disks without including the SSD?

Thanks.
