Do product keys expire

Hello, I purchased 2 licenses of Norton 360 on 11/13 thru Amazon. It turns out I only need 1 of them.

Do product keys expire? Or do subscriptions start the moment of purchase?

If I enter the product key in May for my parents' devices, would I still have a 1 year subscription from that points/from May?

I hope this makes sense. Thank you so much for your help!

Products purchased directly from Norton's web site do start the subscription immediately. Purchase from third party vendors usually do not start until you first activate that key. Having said that, it seems that Amazon has started taking control of the subscriptions they sell, so it may not work the same way any more. What you can do is contact Norton Support and ask them to add the time from the second key to the subscription you activated with the first key.

As noted above, the subscription starts with the first activation of that key. Any further activations will only have the remainder of the original 1 year, regardless of when you activate the other devices. So in this case if you have just activated the key, if you add another device in May, that device's protection will end in November along with the first device.
