NIS 2012 most recent version
Vista SP2
IE 8 browser
Ok wife downloaded free version of winzip from the winzip .com website . NIS download insight showed it to be a safe download. Wife thought she unchecked all the boxes for all that extra stuff they bundle. But some how wound up with AVG Safeguard tool bar.
So she uninstalled it via the add/remove function of vista. It was not an AVG trial of Their anti virus, just some kind of tool bar safeguard. That item is not showing up in our list of programs or in any of the drives which us good because we want it gone. I did find an AVG safeguard folder in C:\windows\program files\common files. And I deleted that
Two questions
1. If the AVG safeguard tool bar was left in place, could that cause problems for my Norton protection?
2. I believe that I deleted any and all files related to AVG like the uninstalled files etc. but do I need to run an AVG removal tool as well? Even if all that was added was the toolbar safeguard?
