Hi All,
Again NIS 2009 did not block nor log this Bloodhound.PDF.10 Heuristic Virus.
It opened an FFdownload window with the following name of the document:
lolHWCA.pdf.part.pdf (Secured) 7:55pm-visitcouns.com
This time I heard my computer making noises when I was trying to close the windows that this virus opened.
Is anyone else having NIS 2009 blocking and detection problems?
Thanks.

Hi dbrisendine,
What do you mean?
Still having problems with Bloodhound.PDF.10 heuristic virus that NIS 2009 did not block nor log at all like it logged the previous three times this virus showed up. This time rather than being blocked and my being able to close the Adobe Reader and the FF download window closing, the screen froze with a white background and also there were two instances each of the download window, Adobe Reader and FF in the Tasks Manager Window. Clicking on the End Task on each item in the applications section of Task Manager did not close these windows. It just froze. I wrote the Bloodhound.PDF.10 Heuristic Virus file download name down:
nMK1+zST.pdf.part.pdf 6:19pm 5.2KB - visitcouns.com
Also, NIS Malwarebytes program is being logged from accessing NIS 2009 engine but is not being blocked at all!!
Thanks for your help.
NIS 2009 (16.5.0.135), IE8 (Final Version), FF 3.0.10, Windows XP SP3 Home Edition
Thanks!

Mo,
Ok try this test
I checked out this site and I don't have Conficker.
It's self explanatory when you get to the site.Basically it will give you an indication if you have the "bug". Try and stick to the one thing you are trying to deal with at a time then eliminate as you go.
1) Is your machine clean I scanned my computer with the NIS Full System Scan. No viruses, worms or other threats.
2) Is your Yahoo corrupt I checked my Yahoo Mail and I had no problems today. That is, my name showed up.
3) IE8 or IE7 I am very reluctant to go back to IE7 with the Redirect problems I have been experiencing.
Hope you get what I'm trying to say, good luck and be sure to tell us what happened with the online scan...I have not used that one yet! I read the first paragraph before the Start Threat and the Start Virus Pages. It stated that the scan would be done with limited quality assurance tests. So I didn't do the Online Scan.
I ran into a Bloodhound.PDF.10 Heuristic Virus when I signed into MySpace profile today.
It automatically opened a file called fwDIVAQ.pdf.part.pdf (5/1/2009) as a download file using Adobe Reader 9.0, which was also automatically opened. Unfortunately, I was not here when these windows opened. They were on screen when I came back to my desk.
This virus was blocked by Auto-Protect by NIS 2009 on May 1st when I logged in to MySpace profile. Since it stated that no further was needed, I didn't think much about it until today. When I went to get the name of the Bloodhound.PDF.10 file, I discovered the file name was different than the one that showed up today - fj95a7jb.pdf.part.pdf (5/6/2009). This file did not show like it did today. That is, opened a download file then opening Adobe Reader 9.0.
It is getting late, so I am going to have to deal with my MySpace Profile tomorrow. Hopefully a Moderator can look into my issue at some point.
Thanks again for your help.
