I had just renewed my subscription and downloaded Norton360 on my Hp PC. Before I went on vacation, I set it up to Auto Update and Auto Scan every day just as I always do, even when I am home. I returned from vacation, my PC was booting up and shutting down every 2 or 3 minutes. Obviously something had sneaked in under the radar? there was nothing I could do.
I finally just had to buy a new HD and new software. I was wondering if, since my subscription was new, would the Norton " Promise" be in effect for this? I didn't notice the problem soon enough to be able to get on line to tech support. I tried Power Eraser with no success. but the PC would not stay booted up long enough to get on line.
I really don't need an answer here, but some comments or suggestions would be nice. I will try to get an answer from Norton Customer Support. about a refund of subscription and maybe some help on the cost of a new HD and new software since their software did not seem to do the job? . I am a retired Viet vet. and can't be throwing out money like it grew on trees.
