Does NAV 2011 protect against keyloggers?

I am thinking of purchasing NAV 2011, since i mostly just play online games, and wanted to know if it blocked keyloggers, so that I could enter my passwords with confidence. I know NIS has auto fill in or whatever, but thats so that if you have a keylogger it wont know what your typing. What I want to know is if NAV2011 blocks keyloggers in the first place, since maybe they are classified as spyware, or if keylogger protection is only available in NIS2011.

In other words - does NAV2011 prevent malicious keyloggers from being downloaded to my computer? Thanks for the time you contribute to help.

This thread and attached links should answer the question.

edited for a more useful link.  Sorry folks.

Yes Norton AntiVirus should protect against keyloggers. It would remove most malwares.

Here is a comparasion of the norton softwares (norton 360, norton antivirus, and norton360.  http://www.symantec.com/norton/products/charts/comparison.jsp?pcid=mp

ok so nav2011 prevents malicious keylogger software from being installed on my system, because I really only surf and play games, so thats the main thing im worried about, is passwords for games being stolen and stuff. I think im understanding you correctly, but want to be sure.

It should protect and remove most keyloggers/virus/trojan horses/dialers/macro virus/spyware/adware aka malware. However, it does not have a firewall to monitor traffic out of your computer aka monitor suspecious programs installed calling home.

Both NAV and NIS will keep you safe from all kinds of malware. However you still need to be very carefull. There are new kinds of malware out there every day so it is better to be safe than sorry. Norton will keep you safe but there is no anti virus which will keep you safe for 100%
