I forgot my sign in password for this site and I'm on a friends PC,and I can not retrieve my log on details from my pc as there is no internet connection at the moment and my password that is protecting my login details will not be accepted on my pc(Nortons password protected manage my log ons) so I cannot get access to my password for this site.any help/ideas?hope I make sense
If you have no Internet Connection, how on earth did you post here?
Try again please...Did not understand a thing..
P.S. In any case all sites, are designed with the same architecture, and the provision is that if you forget your pass.....click on the link that says: "Forgot your password?"....they will email it to you...
My pc is not connected to the net.I'm using a friends pc with their name/password to log on to these forums.I can not get into my NIS2009 "manage log ins" as it will not accept my password.I am asking ....is it because my pc has no internet connection and the "manage log on" protected password needs to be verified by the internet?
I suppose it would have been easier to use the "Forgot my password" on the sign in page!

No, it doesn't needs internet connection. Every Identity Safe (IS) data is stored on your pc. You can click on the "Forgot my password" link at the forum's main page and change the previous one. When you have internet again, just update this site's password in the IS too. I think you use only a few passwords (like everybody else :D), so try those and find out which one is good for IS, and when found it, write it down. :P :D :D
thats the annoying thing I wrote it down,And have tried it again and again.Thats why I thought I would ask on this forum about being not connected to the net and would it affect anything.I think I will wait and try again
Just some follow up,I was missing a digit or something even though I had written down the password!A word of advice double check you've written it down correctly Thanks again

Humble pie is quite sobering, but when eaten correctly it's OK!
