Does Norton 360 scan HTTPS connections for malware? More Web sites are SSL-enabling their interfaces. There is goodness in using encryption to keep my data private while it is in transmission between a web server and my browser. But if Norton 360 cannot scan the data that arrives in these encrypted Web connections, a web site could easily conceal maleware in a web page that would not be detected by Norton 360. That creates a major vulnerability for my browser and for me. And this is a type of vulnerability that grows with the spread of SSL. A lack of a capability to detect maleware in an HTTPS connection is a major loss of value in the Norton 360 product.
