Does Norton Security do what Windows Data Execution Prevention (DEP) does?

If I disable Windows Vista's Data Execution Prevention (DEP) for Internet Explorer 9, will Norton Security protect me?

The reason I have to do this is that the latest version of Trusteer Rapport  causes DEP to stop execution of IE and effectively makes my browser unusable.

I have submitted a "support ticket" to Trusteer 2 weeks ago without any response so it's beginning to look like I'm on my own with this problem.

The reason I want to continue using Trusteer Rapport is that I do my banking online and Rapport complements the security that Norton offers.

Does Norton Security do what DEP does and will it protect me in full if I have to disable DEP for Internet Explorer 9 ?

Thank you for your help.
