Along with PCs, I installed norton 360 multi-divice on an android phone and an iPad. What is slowly becoming apparent is that managing ones devices from a single spot is not working out for me either because I have a misunderstanding of what it should do, or it is not set up correctly. Second, trying to get help on this installation is ALL BUT IMPOSSIBLE without paying someone extra money to talk to them. The box says FREE 24x7 Support-Phone or Chat. I find only a pay number and the only chat is virtual and that is all but worthless. It doesn't understand iPad, in the context of discusing trying to manage iPad and android.
What's really odd is that my iPad shows up as a device under my account, but I've yet to figure out how Norton Management manages anything. While my account shows 5 devices (all correctly named), Norton Management shows only 3. It managed to pick up the names of the android and iPad, but was unable to show 2 of the PCs and incorrectly named the 3rd. I will probably figure all that out eventually, BUT...
Understanding the anti-theft aspects of Norton Mobile has left me in a quandry. To locate the iPad I have to go to a different website than I do for the android. That makes NO sense. Why don't both devices show in the same place. Norton Manager shows both Norton Mobile and Anti-theft installed under the android; but it only shows Norton Mobile under the iPad. One can click on the link (https://antitheft.norton.com/find) to view the android, but there is no link for the iPad. If you type in "https://mobilesecurity.norton.com" then I can find the location of the iPad, but the android doesn't show.
Does anyone understand this well enough to explain to me whether or not I should be able to locate both devices using Norton Manager and how. Or if not what exactly then is Norton 360 doing for an iPad? Thank you. Also, what happened to real live chat or phone help with installation?
