Wondering whether Norton is aware of this NEW zero day attack and know that its based on a 15 year old Windows XP exploit. I am sharing the info from the Neowin site write up for everyone to read. Microsoft has provided vendors with Protected Processes to mitigate code injection attacks by only allowing trusted, signed code to load. No antivirus other than Windows Defender has implemented this design, even though it has been available for three years. The article lists the affected vendors as well.
