Double Subscription?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask/post this problem but here goes anyway. I was trying to make sure my cell phone was up to date with Norton. I went online on my computer and when I signed in I was told my subscription was expired. I try to keep up with that stuff and I know it is usually due in April. But when I looked in my folder I did not see a 2016 renewal. So I signed in and renewed my subscription and downloaded the program.

After installation I looked at my account and see that I now have 2 subscriptions, one expiring in April 2018 and one in Nov 2018. I feel that I have been scammed. In addition I spent 30 minutes trying to find where to enter my NEW Product Key with NO success. I do not have the time now to spend roaming thru the various customer pages that to me are extremely lacking in plain helpful instructions.

Can I cancel the subscription that I just signed up for 6 months too early? I really did not need to waste $42.39 today.
