Downloaded File Deleted for Reputaion

Sorry for posing this problem, but stillvery related to Noron Internet Security: I have this program and I know how to restore deleted files.

I did write a Software and published it as freeware on my on Internet Site. When I tested the download, it was deleted for its reputation from Norton Internet security. How can I prevent this to happen to all wanting to download this file? A digital signature convincing Norton Internet security to not see the file as a danger even when new, costs 400 EUR per year, but it is FREEWARE.

Is there a way to tell this file is safe? I know about the danger, that virus writes would ask this too. Sorry if it is not too general, but admit it is related to the used program discussed in this thread in this community!

Thank you for reading and for any tips in advance!

Thank you very much!

This was a very nice and helpful answer.

Unfortunately problem has developed so that I have 6 installer files and soon another 6 will follow. Maybe also only 3 with some further versions.

Helpful could be to accept all installers coming from FrendSoft and being signed with StartCom signature. The signature guarantees the file is really coming from FrendSoft and my identity as representative was checked. All visible now on same site www.frendsoft.com.

I will see if this is possible. Anyway with signature files are only prevented to be installed and warned about them, but not deleted anymore. Could be still better. I am afraid that the installer files will not so quick be used from many people.

Kind regards
