Downloading Driver Updater exe file on my new laptop which is Window 11

Can anyone tell me why I can’t download a Driver Updater exe file on my new Lenovo laptop?

I’m getting an error code 45056 saying the operating system is not supported??? It has Windows 11 on it.

@A_ROSSETTO My apologies for the tardy reply. Here is how to check if Windows 11 is in S mode:

Steps to Verify S Mode:

  1. Open Settings (press Windows Key + I or find it in the Start menu).
  2. Select System from the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on About.
  4. Scroll down to Windows specifications.
  5. Check the Edition field for “Windows 11 Home in S mode”.

Important Notes:

  • Switching out is one-way: You cannot go back to S mode once you switch out.
  • No cost: Switching out of S mode is free.
  • Activation: The option to switch out is found under Settings > System > Activation.
  • Restrictions: If you cannot install apps from outside the Microsoft Store, you are likely in S mode.
