Downloads not working but charge card is

Hope someone can help me out here. I tried to download norton security - the free 30 day trial. It didn’t work although I received confirmation that it did - in fact that two worked! I contacted the help desk and registered for a phone call from a technition. Despite the fact that I stayed beside the phone for an hour before and after the specified time, no one called. I gave up and cancelled both subscriptions [that had never downloaded anyway], downloaded AVG and forgot about it. Now, 30 days later I’ve received notice that symantec has billed my credit card $80+ for another 11 months of a subscription [that I never got in the first place]. I have proof of one of the cancellations but not of the other - something happened there and I don’t know what. I’ve tried to contact customer help but the results were as futile as the first attempt. Anyone know how I can contact someone at symantec - if indeed real people do exist there???
