Driver Updater = No Sound on My Laptop

Driver Updater = No Sound on My Laptop

Yesterday I installed Norton Driver Updater on my HP laptop and used it to update all the drivers that it indicated needed updating.  Now I have no sound.  So, I then used the Driver Updater to restore the sound driver to previous version.  Still no sound.  Now I want to restore all the drivers, but the program does not respond when I click on the SOLVE NOW link.

Please offer any suggestions and advice to fix this issue.  Thank you.

Do you want to request a refund?  Are you within 60 days of the purchase date?

I chatted with Roshan at Norton.  He solved my problem by remotely connecting to my laptop.  I have no idea what he did, but I am satisfied with the response, although I will likely never again use Norton Driver Updater evaen though I paid big bucks for it.

fwiw ~

After anxiously wasting four hours trying to work out how to get my sound back I went back to Norton's Driver Update app. I meticulously went through the list of drivers that it did and didn't update. Its a misnomer when Norton's driver updater tells you, you have 22 outdated drivers only to up date a hand full leaving the rest un-updated. This led me in a false sense of security thinking that it had updated ALL the drivers. However, for some reason the updater did not update my Sound drivers but disabled it instead (Logitech 5.1) So i clicked on the driver and it must of updated it (i think) . I went back to Settings, etc and found an added default sound app so i clicked on it and it added my Logitech system.  Thanks to this affair I do not trust Norton's one bit and will not renew my sub. I will be looking around for a more competent anti-virus that does what it says.
