While on vacation I received a bogus Verizon billing that was EXTREMELY well done. Seeing that the bill was too high, I clicked the link and NIS stopped it cold. I'm very security conscious but this email would probably fool me again. After taking time to closely inspect the graphics, wording and link, I couldn't find any red flags without having a real email bill to compare it to.
Can NIS scan incoming emails for malware or distinguish bogus email from National well known sites emails? Doe's NIS have a white list for National sites billing emails or National package shippers notification? I got a bogus and poorly done DHL package delivery email today containing a zip file to open for notification. I right clicked the zip file to see if NIS could scan it, no luck.
It looks like a no brainier to stop a "DHL" email containing a dead return email ("DHL Inc."< status@dhl.com>) from landing in the mailbox . Should malware emails be reported?
