Email Message Content rejected

There are times when I try to forward an email or send an email and it gets rejected.

I am using Outlook and it mainly happens when forwarding emails I recieve to my content writers. These emails usually have links as part of a html message or in the signature of the forwarded message. I get a very annoying alert box that says:

551.5.0.0 Message Content Rejected

The email then gets placed in the sent folder.

However upon doing some reading in this forum I came accorss this similar problem: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Problems-with-Email-Protection-Outgoing/m-p/608588#M186137

I tried the solution which was to go to Network > Manage Protection > Email Antivirus Scan > Configure> Scan Outgoing Email Messages > Turn off.

Then in the main window I turned email protection to Ignore so as not to get the screen looking red and ominious.

I tried to send the email and sure enough the alert box doesnt appear, but the email does not send. I just get an "Underliverable" message saying "The email could not reach the recipients..."

These are emails I need to send, they are not Spam as they weren't marked as junk in the first place. It is extremely annoying!!

Someone please help!

Hi cdg-76

The SMTP error message you are receiving is being displayed by Norton, but actually originates with your ISP.  It indicates that an email server is rejecting your messages for some reason - most likely because they appear to be spam.  Check with your email service provider to see if they can advise you about correcting the issue.
