Email Option to Contact Norton

Email Contact to Norton

Around January, 2012 when I had a problem with a Norton product, the Norton tech. contacted me via email and it was easier versus the phone or chat options.  As of now, Norton does not offer email contact.  My latest Chat contacted was made after waiting 50 minutes.  And phone contact was also delayed.  I don’t know of any software company from whom you purchase their product does not offer email contact.  Email contacts, for those who use it, offers many advantages.  Contacts on both ends are made at a time each party is available; there is less chance that a language problem will cause misunderstanding on an issue; the written word is usually understood by all cultures; one can save emails for reference and feedback.

I encourage Norton to offer on their Web site an option to get support via direct email.

Hello Dick -

This feedback for email support is not for the Community Forum.  It is directed at Norton's Web site where the only contact is their Chat line or the phone.  And when I finally did talk to Norton, they confirmed they did not offer email support.

Also, the box that Norton ships their disk in states "unlimited email support 24x7," which is false advertising and misleading.  As I  said in my post, I do not know of any software company who sells a product  and does not offer email support
