Okay, a few months ago I noticed that my email sent spam to everyone on my contact list. This was before I knew much about internet security. I changed my password and it never happened again. Later I learned about trojans allowing remote users to control your computer and turn the computer into a bot as part of a botnet. I checked the Norton log and didn't find anything that would suggest that I acquired any such trojan. I did Google this but I don't have a good understanding of it. My question is, is it likely that my computer was infected and became a bot to somebody? Or are there other possibilities, perhaps more likely, that could have happened? My email is a hotmail account and I had Norton Internet Security 2010 at the time. Thanks.
