Virus that Norton thinks is Google Chrome.
Both Symantec and Google should be aware of this.
emiesitelist is a folder (complete path below) containing an executable with a randomly generated name (in my case owcdlctobkq.exe). Norton allows this executable, because it believes this is Google Chrome. I believe the executable for Google Chrome is simply chrome.exe. I came across other users with this same virus on other forums (URL below). I believe I picked up this virus from visiting a website, but I'm not sure. The executable seriously bogs down the CPU. Norton did show the unusual CPU usage under Performance, and provided a path to find the executable (Norton info below). I was unable to delete the folders while the executable was running; Task Manager showed it, but I could not stop it. I ran Malwarebytes.org (in Safe Mode) and that stopped the executable from running; but it did not remove the emiesitelist folder or its many subfolders or the executable. A Norton complete system scan with current updates did not identify this as a problem. A thread describing this problem in detail is posted on Malwaretips.com at:
