I inactivated my auto renewal because I always buy a new version when my subscription runs out. It's much cheaper and I don't mind installing a new version each time. This time after I inactivated it I started to get notices in the mail to re-enable it. There is no information in the mailing on how to stop receiving the notices. This angers me. I don't want to be reminded to do something I don't want, and the waste of paper and mailing costs make it that much worse. If anyone knows how to stop these mailings, please tell me. Thank you!
I just started getting these snail mail notices too about a month ago for no reason that I know of, at least once per week, sometimes 2 on the same day. I have never purchased retail direct from Symantec and never will; I always buy the card codes from Amazon or ebay, and I have never enabled any type of advertising or auto-renewal, and looking all over the websites I could not find any way to opt out of mailings other then stop supporting this company and using a competitors product.
If you looked around you will only find an email opt-in which you probably never checked, and it says this.
"We will continue to send you information relating to your orders, account updates, Automatic Renewal service and important security alerts regardless of this setting."
This company has really went downhill in the actual detection of real viruses and seems to just delete anything not signed by a giant corporation; but if you want to continue to support this company and not get snail mail spammed, just change your account address; here is a good one...

Sadly, I always make sure the "solicitation" box is unchecked. This has never happened until I installed the most recent version in October. At that time I allowed it to default to auto-renew and later took it off. As soon as I removed the auto-renew, I started to get snail mail warning me that I needed to take urgent action on my account and that my devices were at risk because I was not enrolled in auto-renew. It costs far more to auto-renew than it does to purchase a new subscription each year and I resent Norton's efforts to scare me into paying nearly twice as much for protection for the sake of convenience.
Thank you for your efforts to assist me with this issue. I will contact support.
Linda Since Norton requires your mailing address information (snail mail) for billing purposes unchecking the box suggested will stop the mailing. I don't have it checked and have NEVER once had anything sent via USPS. If you feel the need you can contact support at the link below.

I wish that would help. These are snail mail notices coming to my home via USPS. Besides, the small print below that checkbox states the following:
Email me product updates, offers, and security newsletters
We will continue to send you information relating to your orders, account updates, Automatic Renewal service and important security alerts regardless of this setting.
So even if I was referring to emails, they would continue to send me the irritating emails. But thanks for your response.
Hello Linda. Just follow these instruction and things should return to normal : https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v118283428_EndUserProfile_en_us
